1. Who we are

Scalecraft ("we", "us", "our") is a growth studio based in Delhi, India. We design and optimise Shopify stores and run paid media for D2C brands. Our website is thescalecraft.com and our primary contact is hello@thescalecraft.com.

2. What information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, and limited data from your use of our website:

• Contact information — your email address, WhatsApp number, or phone number when you fill out our contact form or reach out directly.
• Brand information — your brand name, website URL, and monthly revenue range, submitted through our enquiry form.
• UTM and referral data — source, campaign and referral parameters automatically captured when you arrive from an ad or link, used solely to understand how you found us.
• Usage data — standard web analytics such as pages visited, time on site, browser type, and country. This data is aggregated and non-identifiable.

We do not collect payment card details. Any payment processing is handled entirely by third-party providers (such as Razorpay or bank transfer) and we never store card information.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect only to:

• Respond to your enquiry and assess fit for our services
• Send you a scoping proposal or audit report you've requested
• Communicate about an active engagement
• Improve our website and marketing based on aggregate analytics

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We will never contact you with unsolicited promotional messages.

4. Cookies and tracking

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies for:

• Analytics — to understand traffic patterns and page performance (e.g. via Google Analytics). Data is anonymised where possible.
• Attribution — session-level data to understand which campaigns drive enquiries. This data lives in your browser's sessionStorage and is not transmitted to third parties other than our analytics provider.
• Meta Pixel — if active, used to measure the effectiveness of our own advertising. It does not target you with ads from other brands.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Core website functionality does not depend on cookies.

5. Data retention

We retain enquiry data (your contact details and brief) for up to 24 months, or until you ask us to delete it. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the analytics provider used (typically 14 months for Google Analytics).

For active clients, we retain communication records and deliverable files for the duration of the engagement plus 12 months, unless a longer period is legally required.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Ask us to delete your data (subject to legal obligations)
• Withdraw consent for any data use at any time

7. Third-party services

Our website and operations may use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:

• Google Analytics — website analytics
• Meta (Facebook) Pixel — ad measurement
• Formspree or similar — form submission handling
• WhatsApp Business — client communication

We do not control these services' data practices and encourage you to review their respective policies.

8. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. Our website uses HTTPS. Client files are stored in access-controlled cloud storage. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for business owners and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
